What is the Point of the Story
February 14, 2022 • Lana Marinko
Challenge: Consider in what area you currently live as if flourishing is possible outside God's reign. Share with a mature sister in the Lord who can tell you more about how the Bible speaks into that area with what God defines as good.
The Story IN The Bible
February 7, 2022 • Lana Marinko
Challenge: Share what you have learned with someone you know. Pair up with a friend or table mate so that you can practice sharing the Bible's storyline with her. If it's a sister from Monday nights, help each other develop a clear and concise summary of the Bible's storyline and the way in which it has affected your heart's gratitude and love for God.
A Design For Discipleship
January 24, 2022 • Lana Marinko
Challenge: Think about the intentional commitment necessary for not only being a learner, but a disciple who practices the things revealed by God. Write a prayer about where you're at right now in your walk and your role as a disciple. Ask the Lord to direct you in the area(s) you need to further grow.
Five for Remaining Ready & Ablaze
November 22, 2021 • Lana Marinko • Philippians 4:1–9
Challenge: 1) As you enter this season of Thanksgiving, you do so with tools and instructions provided by Paul; be intentional as you practice displaying a Christ-centered life to your families, friends, and neighbors. Remember that in all the victories and failures "the God of peace will be with you." 2) Begin reading the gospel of Luke on December 1; read one chapter per day until you finish the book on Christmas Eve. Let this gospel account fill your heart and soul with the real reason for this season, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who will empower you to faithfully live out the Christ-displaying life to which you've been called.
Press On
November 15, 2021 • Katie Oneida • Philippians 3:12—4:1
Challenge: Read Hebrews 11-12; humble yourself before the Lord and ask Him to convict you of the areas in which you are sitting on the sidelines rather than pressing onward. What areas are distracting you from doing so? Do you need to think differently about the amount of time and effort required to run the race, so that it becomes less of a struggle and more of a joy? List three small things you can begin doing daily, that over time, will make a big difference in your spiritual growth.
Imitating Christ's Example
October 25, 2021 • Lana Marinko • Philippians 2:1–11
Challenge: Reread Phil 1:1-2:11 daily. Based on Paul's life example "to live is Christ," which he patterned after Jesus' example, consider where you are resisting the Christ-centered life. Reach out to a trusted sister and share your heart, then pray with her about the changes you're willing to make to fully live out your life in a Christ-centered way. Ask her if she'll do the same, and make a pact to hold each other accountable.
