Sometimes what we think is true or what the world tells us is true is far different than reality. People, celebrities, the media and others who us daily what success, happiness, excellence, and satisfaction looks like—in their eyes. Is that really the truth, or does the Bible say something completely and utterly different? What we need is a “reality check,” something to judging what we see and hear against in order to determine what’s real, and what’s not. In this five-part series, Pastor Shane does a “reality check” on some of the things that people want the most—happiness, success, fulfillment and satisfaction. We search for these things, buy stuff that we think will give us these things, and often live, love and die never having found anything that’s real. Through God’s word, we’ll learn that reality in Him can give us all of this, and more if we determine to live a life that’s really different than what we see around us.
