TRUTH: Our own disbelief often limits the power of Jesus Disbelief often comes when… 1. We are surprised Mark 6:2a :: And on the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished, 2. We think we know Mark 6:2b-3a :: saying, “Where did this man get these things? What is the wisdom given to him? How are such mighty works done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” 3. We are offended by truth Mark 6:3b :: And they took offense at him. 4. We set Jesus in a box Mark 6:5 :: And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them.

Mark Servant King - Dirt Matters!
TRUTH: Only good soil will produce fruit • January 27, 2019 • Jason Smith
TRUTH: Only good soil will produce fruit What kind of soil am I cultivating… 1. Hard-hearted Mark 4:4 :: And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. Mark 4:15 :: And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them. 2. Shallow Mark 4:5 :: Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil. Mark 4:16-17 :: And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away. 3. Distracted Mark 4:7 :: Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. Mark 4:18-19 :: And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 4. Fruitful Mark 4:8 :: And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:20 :: But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

TRUTH: Jesus graciously provides warnings for our benefit • January 6, 2019 • Jason Smith
TRUTH: Jesus graciously provides warnings for our benefit The unforgivable sin… 1. Isn’t committed in an instant Mark 3:22 :: And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” Mark 3:30 :: for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” 2. Isn’t possible in Christ Mark 3:27-28 :: But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Isn’t final until death Mark 3:29 :: but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”
