The Gift of Love - Brings Redeemed Pasts

TRUTH: Jesus presence means my past can be redeemed! Jesus’ presence means… 1. I can let go of fear Matthew 1:20 :: But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”“ 1 John 4:18 :: There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 2. I can embrace Jesus’ grace Matthew 1:21 :: She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. John 1:16 :: For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 3. I can make a better decision Matthew 1:24 :: When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife John 8:11 :: She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” What does this mean for me? 1. My past is no match for Jesus grace! Romans 5:15-16 :: But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. 2. My healed hurts can be used to to help others! 2 Corinthians 1:4 :: who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
