Christ’s coming restored roles in the home and church Ephesians 5:22 :: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Ephesians 5:25 :: Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 1 Timothy 2:11-12 :: Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

John 14:16-17 :: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. 3. The Holy Spirit is received by repentance and water baptism Acts 2:38 :: And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 4. The Holy Spirit is evidenced by praise and obedience Acts 10:46 :: For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, Acts 5:29-32 :: But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” 5. It is possible to work against the Holy Spirit Ephesians 4:30 :: And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Acts 7:51 :: “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 :: Do not quench the Spirit.

It is about the internal, not the external John 4:21 :: Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 2. It is about who John 14:6 :: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 3. It is about how John 4:24 :: God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

There is No Video or Audio This week. TRUTH: God redeems all He allows 1. Suffering was never God’s intent Genesis 1:31a :: And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. 2. God does not cause suffering! Genesis 3:16-17 :: To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to[a] your husband, but he shall rule over you.” And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; Job 1:12 :: And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. 3. The suffering that God allows is for specific purposes James 5:11 :: Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. 4. Our suffering will be redeemed Romans 8:18 :: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
