TRUTH: God redeems all

He allows

1. Suffering was never God’s intent
Genesis 1:31a :: And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.

2. God does not cause suffering!
Genesis 3:16-17 :: To the woman he said,
“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children.
Your desire shall be contrary to[a] your husband,
but he shall rule over you.”
And to Adam he said,
“Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree
of which I commanded you,
‘You shall not eat of it,’
cursed is the ground because of you;
in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
Job 1:12 :: And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

3. The suffering that God allows is for specific purposes
James 5:11 :: Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

4. Our suffering will be redeemed
Romans 8:18 :: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
