Trunk-or-Treat - Car Registration

October 27, 2024
6:30 - 8:30pm

It's Trunk-or-Treat time! In order for this year's event to be a success, we need folks to register and plan to park their car in the walk and hand out candy from their trunks. The event will be held from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Following are a few important details about the event. This year, there are only 75 spots available to participate.

Car Theme and Costume:

There are lots of creative, family-friendly ways that you can decorate your vehicle. We recommend that you pick a theme for your vehicle and costume. The less your car looks like a car, the better. Because so many of our trunk-or-treaters will be preschoolers and toddlers (and we are a church), we ask that participants not use scary items or images like blood, skeletons, bats, witches, monsters, gore, occult symbols, etc.

Following are some suggested themes:

Disney, Pixar, or other kid-friendly movie

   Circus

   Western

   Space or Scifi

   Race car

   Decade theme: 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, etc.

   Bible stories

   Sports

   Camping

   Zoo or Barnyard

Candy:

Please be prepared to hand out individually wrapped candy to approximately 1,500 kids. We recommend you give one piece of candy per child. We will have additional candy available if you run out on the night of the event.

Teal Pumpkin Car:

Some kids have food restrictions and allergies, during our Trunk-or-Treat we will have teal pumpkin signs to post on cars that are distributing non-food treats. The teal pumpkin will alert families of safe treats for their children. Oriental Trading is a great place to purchase items in bulk.

Following are suggestions for those that would like to participate:

   Glow sticks

   Bracelets or necklaces

   Pencils, pens, crayons or markers

   Bubbles

   Halloween erasers or pencil toppers

Mini Slinkies, whistles, kazoos, or noisemakers

   Bouncy balls

   Mini notepads

   Stickers

Expect a great fun filled night! More information, will be emailed to you soon!
