Phillip Yancy says that there are three questions that lurk within the minds of every person. They're often not spoken out loud because we would feel it's unspiritual to voice such questions. But the whole book is built around the premise of these three questions that lurk within everyone.
Number one: Is God unfair?
Number two, Is God silent?
Number three: Is God hidden?
Is God unfair? Is God silent? Is God hidden?
Job answers or at least wrestles with all three.
Is God unfair? Most of the book is built around that question. Job argues with his friends, his three friends, and then a fourth.

Here is chapter 38 we will learn of the wisdom of God and the limitations of mans wisdom. God In chapter 40 we will learn of the power of God and the limitation of mans’s power. Ultimately in chapter 42 we learn of the love of God. Job finally gets his audience with God, the very thing he has wanted since he first began to suffer the trials he has been in. Job had accused God of unrighteousness and the justice of God in his trial due to the things Jobs friends had told Job he was being judged by God because of hypocrisy or secret sin. Job unfortunately bought into their lies and began to question the goodness of God. Job thought God was judging Job’s life… God posses 70 “you want to be God” questions for Job. If you feel like God isn’t doing a good job at running the universe and the affairs of human life you should be able to answer these questions. This is like a want to be God 101 class.
