Day Seven - Brave to reach others

February 17, 2019

This is the Great Commission that we would reach a lost and helpless world and tell them of the Saviour. We are called to make God known and we are equipped to do so with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Great Commission is a great responsibility. And it would be easy to think “Oh, this command is for someone else, not me” because we aren’t preachers or teachers necessarily. But the Great Commission is for all of us. God knew we were right for the task, and assures us in verse 20 of Matthew 28 that He is with us now and forever. He puts people in our lives who need Him, and He uses us to show them His love. It’s our mission, collectively. Our mission field is our homes, our neighbourhoods, our workplaces, our social media, our errands, and beyond. The way we do this is by loving others the way Jesus loves them and glorifying Him in all we say and do. We can courageously accept the Great Commission. We can be brave to reach others because God is always with us Mathew 28:19-20 NIV 1”9Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Romans 10:14-15 NIV 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
