Pastor Dallas Billington Bio

Pastor Dallas Billington has led and served in church ministry for 35 years.

He first planted a church in Naples, FL in the 1980's. He later returned to Akron, Ohio and served 12 years as pastor of Dallas' home church - which his father also led and grandfather birthed - Akron Baptist Temple. He was grateful to serve thousands of people each week at the Temple.

Dallas then enjoyed a brief time, 1 1/2 years on staff of Calvary Chapel, Ft. Lauderdale. There it was his fervent desire to see the people of Southwest Florida find Jesus Christ as their Savior, so he planted a new church, Community of Hope.

Dallas is now excited to be back in Ohio, for good. He has been praying for and following God's leading to plant a new church in the Akron-Canton area for the past couple of years. It is now time for his prayers to be reality, as God has showed the way for Dallas to begin City Church AC.

You'll often find Dallas at the gym and awake at 2 am. He has been mistaken for a pirate with his golden tooth. Dallas holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Malone College and a Masters from California Graduate School of Theology, Glendale, CA.

His life verse is Joshua 1:8-9:
"8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
