It was 244 years ago this week the American Colonies sent a letter to King George III declaring their independence from the British Empire. All who signed the Declaration of Independence understood what that could mean for their lives and the lives of their family. They would be preparing for a war. The same could be said for us today, when we come to the realization and understand we are sinners separated from God.
