🍂Security/Parking Volunteer Fall Fest 2026

October 3, 2026
11:00am - 4:00pm

Fall Fest Security & Parking Team

Thank you for volunteering at Fall Fest! We truly appreciate you giving your time to serve. Your calm presence, attentiveness, and friendly attitude help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone attending.

Please wear your Dream Team T-shirt and arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled shift so you can check in and receive any final instructions. Before or after your shift, be sure to stop by the Family Room and enjoy a complimentary lunch!

Our Security Team serves in three areas:

🏢 Inside Security

Inside Security helps monitor the church building while Fall Fest activities are taking place outside.

Please:

► Greet guests warmly as they enter.

► Direct attendees to the restrooms and help keep foot traffic limited to approved areas.

► Do not allow guests to wander through classrooms, offices, hallways, or other restricted areas.

► The Family Room is for volunteers and authorized personnel only.

► Politely redirect anyone who enters an area that is not open to the public.

► Keep an eye out for unattended children, spills, unsafe conditions, or anything unusual.

► If a situation becomes difficult, contact the Security Team leader rather than arguing or confronting someone.

Be friendly, but attentive. We want guests to feel welcomed while also protecting the building and volunteer areas.

👀 Outside Security

Outside Security volunteers circulate throughout the Fall Fest grounds to help keep everyone safe.

Please:

► Walk throughout the event area and remain alert to what is happening around you.

► Watch for children who may become separated from parents or guardians.

► Look for trip hazards, blocked walkways, unsafe activity, or anything that could cause injury.

► Help keep guests away from restricted areas or equipment.

► Politely remind children and adults of safety rules when necessary.

► Be especially attentive around rides, games, food areas, and areas with vehicle traffic.

► If you see something unsafe, address it calmly or notify the appropriate team leader.

Security is not about being intimidating — it is about being visible, helpful, calm, and observant.

🚗 Parking Security

Parking Security helps keep traffic moving safely and ensures vehicles are parked only in approved areas.

Your assigned location includes the area between the Murphy Jr. High entrance and the church entrance.

Please:

► Direct vehicles slowly and clearly.

► Help drivers identify approved parking areas.

► Make sure vehicles do not block entrances, exits, fire lanes, driveways, or pedestrian walkways.

► Do not allow vehicles to park in undesignated areas, especially along Oxhead Road where parking may create a safety concern.

► Watch carefully for children and pedestrians crossing near moving vehicles.

► Never stand directly in front of a moving vehicle.

► Use clear hand signals and make eye contact with drivers whenever possible.

► If traffic begins backing up or a problem develops, contact the Parking Team leader for assistance.

Important Security Guidelines

For all Security Team volunteers:

Remain calm, courteous, and respectful.

► Do not argue, threaten, or physically confront anyone.

► If a situation appears serious, immediately contact the Security Team leader or Fall Fest leadership.

► In a true emergency, call 911 and notify leadership.

► Do not leave your assigned area without letting another team member or leader know.

► Remember that you are representing Church on the Sound — firmness and kindness can go together.

Remember

WATCH • HELP • PROTECT

WATCH — Stay alert and aware.

HELP — Assist guests with kindness and respect.

PROTECT — Help keep people, property, and traffic safe.

Thank you for helping make Fall Fest a place where families can relax, have fun, and feel safe and welcomed.
