“Passover” originated when the death angel passed over the homes of Hebrews in Egypt. The word “Seder” means “order.” At a Passover Seder, six symbolic foods on each Seder tray are taken by guests in order. The foods tell how God delivered His people from slavery. Messiah Jesus was crucified on Passover as “The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world” (Jn. 1:29).
