Jesus said, “Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor” (Matthew 5:3). This sermon unpacks the story in Luke 18:9-14 of the religious person and the tax collector. Both had a condition of great need. But one acknowledged it and the other did not. Today we learn the first step in our recovery journey is to admit our need.
