Understanding & Overcoming Racial Trauma

Saturday Seminar

August 14, 2021
9:30am - 12:00pm

You're invited to a special weekend with our guest, Bishop Alonzo Johnson. We will host him for a Saturday Seminar on August 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The talk is entitled, "Let's Talk About It: Understanding & Overcoming Racial Trauma." We will also host him for our Sunday morning services (9 & 11 a.m.) the next day. In the wake of 2020, CLC set out to “Become One in 2021.” The focus on unity for this year drove the pastors and leaders to ask, “How do we address the elephant in the room of racial tension in our nation from a Kingdom perspective?” Leaving this topic off the table while trying to pursue unity didn’t seem right. In an effort to fulfill the mandate of Phil 2:3 to “value others above ourselves,” we sought the perspective of our friends, Bishop Alonzo Johnson & his wife, Erika. They will be sharing on the topic of “Understanding & Overcoming Racial Trauma.” We are believing that their ministry and teaching will help give us as a body a greater ability to understand and love effectively.
