Restored -- Part 2

The Other Side of the Boat

April 19, 2020 • Pastor Mark Lantz

Last week, we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior from the dead. We sang, raised our hands, and had an inspiring message on the restoration of Peter after his denial of Jesus. But here we are, one week later. Is the restoration finished? Are we going back to normal?

We cannot simply return to where we were. The world is entering a new normal. Many people use that term as a negative, but God is restoring the church to a new normal unlike anything we've seen; preparing us for a move of His Spirit that is unprecedented. Are we prepared for what He has for us? Join Dr. Mark Lantz for Part 2 of Restored.

Restored -- Part 6

May 24, 2020 • Pastor Mark Lantz

We are fast approaching Pentecost Sunday, on which we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the very first time on the early church. But we tend to skip over the time between Christ's ascension and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was fully aware that the disciples would be waiting for the Holy Spirit for a time. Thus, His last conversation with them is incredibly important. What principles can we glean from this conversation that apply to us today? What can we learn from this time of waiting? Join Dr. Mark Lantz as he examines this last earthy conversation of the Lord Jesus Christ in part 6 of Restored.

Restored -- Part 5

Our Restored series has explored the restoration of the Apostle Peter after his denial of Christ. We have explored the ways in which Jesus brought Peter back to Himself after Peter did the very thing he vowed not to do: abandon Jesus. We have used this to explore what God is calling to church to become as we move forward into the next stage of the year 2020. Now, we come to the tipping point of the restoration of Peter: the last words of Jesus to His disciples just before His ascension. What does this last conversation have to say to us today? Join Dr. Mark Lantz for Part 5 of Restored.

Restored -- Part 4

May 3, 2020 • Pastor Mark Lantz

For the past month, we have been discussing the restoration of the Apostle Peter following his denial of Christ. This week, we are looking at the various aspects of Peter's life that the Lord sought to restore in His encounter with Peter at the Sea of Galilee, and what this means for us as the church as we prepare to start our in-person gatherings again. We are entering a new era of ministry as the church. Are we prepared for what God is calling us to do? Are we truly aware of what this restoration truly means for us? Join us for Part 4 of Restored.
