FORGING YOUR ANCHOR: FINDING AND DEVELOPING YOUR SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY

Powerpoint Presentation • February 9, 2019 • Dr. Shune Kimura, DVM

It seems paradoxical that our profession, which calls us to developing relationship with our clients and our patients, can feel like one of the loneliest professions. It is so easy to isolate ourselves during and beyond veterinary school, and it detracts us from a full relationship with Christ. The importance of community with fellow believers is real now more than ever, and now is the time to train this lifestyle and pursuit of "life together" before going out into the world. I hope my testimony, experiences, and our discussion together can encourage you to invest in a Christ-centered community in the midst of the busy seasons of our lives.

THE TUSKEGEE STORY: HOPE IN REAL TIME

Powerpoint Presentation • February 8, 2019 • Dr. Fred Tippett, DVM

“Every round goes higher and higher…” is a line from the old Negro spiritual entitled, “We are climbing Jacob’s ladder.” Embedded in the lyrics of that song are the sincere hopes of a people which started a college, which gave birth to a veterinary school, which produced notable veterinarians. The history of Tuskegee is a rich one, filled with stories of hope from the beginning, which extends unto the present, and has promise for the future. So, come and have your hope inspired--in real time.
