In our passage today we will hear Paul tell us: Don’t get distracted by religion. Instead, focus your life on Christ because you are united with Christ. The Colossians were allowing people to intimidate them with their religious practices, experiences, and rules. The same thing happens today.

Most of us have a hard time getting rid of old sins in our lives that really need to go. When you become a Christian, you become a new person. The Bible says we become Christ’s bride. As a follower of Christ, you need to get rid of your old clothes and put on Christ’s clothes.
