God Is Our Perfect Redeemer

October 4, 2020 • Eli Thomas

Boaz actions to redeem Ruth as the kinsman-redeemer has consequences far beyond the life of Ruth. By stepping into her life, he redeems not only Ruth but also Naomi and the line of her father-in-law Elimalek. In Boaz we see a shadow of Christ who steps in, not simply to redeem a family line but to redeem fallen humanity and restore us to the family of God.

God Is In Our Pain

August 30, 2020 • Eli Thomas

In week one of our series on Ruth we will explore God’s sovereignty in the midst of pain. Ruth and Naomi were real women who experienced real pain. They faced hard decisions and had to choose between running FROM God or trusting IN God. God allowed them to experience pain just as he allows us to experience pain but even in the midst of it God was walking with Ruth and Naomi, leading, guiding, and calling them closer to him. God is at work in out pain and even when it seems as though all is lost, he redeems it and uses it for his glory.
