How do we define worship? Is it music? Prayer? A sermon or message? What if worship is all of that and none of it? What if worship is simply the loving response to a merciful God? How we respond to God's presence, these are the moments when we worship. But what happens when our life is in so much turmoil that we struggle to sing praises to the King of Kings? CONFESSION
July 7, 2024 • Eli Thomas • Psalm 32, 2 Samuel 11:2–11
Confession is the practice of being honest before God about our sins. Too often we want to look past the details and give a blanket apology but God challenges us to be specific because when we do we discover that while it is a lot harder to hide from our sins, there is also a powerful freedom that comes from turning them over to be forgiven. God releases us not just from the punishment but also from the shame and the guilt!
