Epiphany is the celebration of the visit of the Wise Men to baby Jesus. This brief moment recorded only in the Gospel of Matthew is celebrated in the Church because it speaks to the global mission of the Gospel. Jesus was born to the Jews but he wasn't just for them, he is for everyone everywhere who would believe in him as the salvation and hope of humanity.
