July 10, 2022 • Pastor George Gasperson • Exodus 14

The theological lesson of the Exodus story is that whatever difficulties or trials or problems we find ourselves in today, we are not waiting for God’s deliverance. Our deliverance has already come through the person of Jesus Christ. Our Egypt is behind us! Like the Israelites, we were once slaves of our sins, unable to save ourselves. But God sent Jesus to lead us out of bondage, crossing over into freedom. All who are in Christ are moving from one country to another, led by Jesus himself. Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
