On November 12, in All Saints' Hall, Ben Outen along with Community Partners, Katie Lehman and Matt Wetmore will talk about The Transformative Power of Music.

This conversation will be drawn from the experience of a concert for choirs and orchestra presented on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 PM in the church. The concert will feature Christ Church’s musical Community Partners, Caritas, The Charlotte Chamber Choir and the Christ Church Choir along with some of Charlotte’s many fine instrumentalists performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn and Requiem by Maurice Durufle. These contrasting pieces will provide many examples of how music warms our hearts, motivates us to focused activity and provides shared experiences out of which grows a rich and compassionate community. The power of music for wellness is about the listener and the performer for the very musical and the self-proclaimed non-musicians.
