Pastor Casey continued our Apostles' Creed sermon series by talking about Jesus’ crucifixion and what it means for us today. He explained the pain and sacrifice Jesus endured and reminded us that His death brings us closer to God. Pastor Casey also encouraged us to follow Jesus’ example by carrying our own cross.

Resurrection of the Body and the Life Everlasting

Today, we wrapped up our We Believe series with the final line of the Apostles’ Creed: “the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.” Pastor Chad reminded us that our hope goes beyond heaven to a future where God renews all things. Until then, we’re called to live with purpose, anchored in the hope of what’s to come.

He spoke on how the impact of sin—through death, abandonment, or abuse—leaves children orphaned and showed how Scripture reveals God as our Divine Parent who stands against injustice toward orphans and widows.

The Forgiveness of Sins

Pastor Chad's sermon focused on "the forgiveness of sins," as described in the Apostles' Creed. He reminded us that everyone falls short of God's standards through our actions, attitudes, and very nature. However, Jesus' sacrifice offers complete forgiveness—past, present, and future. We don’t have to earn this forgiveness; it’s a gift we accept.
