If you’re an animal lover with a desire to help animals in need in our community, this is the life group for you! In this fall season, we will build friendships centered around serving animals that Jesus has given us the privilege to care for. Together, we will volunteer at the Galax, Carroll, Grayson Animal Shelter. Unique to the fall life group, we will also plan, prepare for, and host Barktober Fest, which will be held on October 17th! This is a fall themed fundraising celebration where we invite pups to put on their favorite costumes and bring their humans out for food, fun and games. Our group will meet primarily on Saturdays, typically in the morning, weather pending. Life happens, so we don’t expect everyone to make it to every gathering. Come when you can. The only event that requires attendance for new shelter volunteers is completion of the animal shelter’s volunteer orientation. Whether you want to spend time with the animals, help host Barktober Fest, or do it all, we hope that you will consider joining our group!
