Stewardship Sermon Series

Staying an Enthusiastic Giver

October 24, 2021 • Pastor Steven Pettis Jr • 2 Corinthians 9:6–7

What happens every year at the beginning of the year? New Years Resolutions start with so much vigor and passion, whether with working out at the gym, saving money for emergency funds, or anything in life. The point is we do it with so much enthusiasm. Paul talks to the church of Corinthian and tells them; you were raising funds for Jerusalem; you started with so much drive, now you seem to have fizzled out. Paul encourages them by reminding them, their initial gift was contagious, and others joined in the contribution because of their drive. Paul reminds them, finish what you started, but do it in the right way, cheerfully. Join Pastor Steven Pettis Jr in this study on stewardship!

Look Closer! Ephesians 5:15-16

October 28, 2021 • Pastor Steven Pettis Jr • Ephesians 5:15–16

Paul is reminding the church of Ephesus that we must all pay careful attention to how we walk, not just a casual walk, but careful. Paul reminds us to discern and be attentive to how we interact in life, understanding that we are all living on borrowed time; we are to live in such a way that we make the best of every opportunity to serve the Lord.
