When we see or hear something and accept it as Truth, we allow the new information to help shape our worldview, our perception of the world around us. But what if our seeing and hearing are skewed? Jesus challenges a congregation in Laodicea with that very question and offers an answer to their misplaced perceptions.

We know what He wants in our families, in our community, in our church, and yes, even in our lives. Unfortunately, all too often, we fall short of God’s intent; we miss His purpose. The church at Philadelphia reminds us that God is still the one in charge if we would but follow Him.

Even so, we must continue to consider the circumstances we find ourselves in and strive to find God’s path for us as we look to the future. A Triumphant Church continue to grow in faith and practice.

Theme: The Church must stay true to Jesus. While we work hard to be a congregation that is open and accepting, we can never compromise our steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ. He is the author of truth, love, and compassion, and it is His teaching that provides the pattern for our church.
