Joseph had contentment because oof his faith the Lord. He knew he couldn't do anything, but that his God was capable of everything. How did he learn these lessons? Through suffering. Pharaoh was the opposite. He was troubled by his dreams and the prospect of lost prosperity and security. He didn't have the peace that comes from faith in our Lord.

The beginning of Jospeh's story is about a the bad fruit of jealousy in his brothers' lives. They despise Jospeh because Jacob, their father, loved Joseph more than the rest of them. Their jealousy, which ultimately was a problem they had with their dad, bore horrific fruit in their lives and in their family. Jealousy must be dealt with properly through faith and repentance.
