Has No One Condemned You?

May 9, 2021 • Josh Wyatt

***Due to technical difficulties, there is no video/audio of this Sunday's sermon. In this week's installment of Questions Jesus Asked, we look at the story of a woman caught in adultery and soon to be stoned to death by the religious establishment. The leaders were actually only using her as a pawn to trap Jesus. After reminding the leaders of their own personal guilt, the self-righteous men each drop their stones and walk away. Now alone with Jesus, He asks the woman, "Has no one condemned you?" She replies, "No one, Lord." Upon her faith in declaring Him Lord, Jesus says, "Neither do I condemn you." For those of us who trust Jesus as Lord, we have His forgiveness and imputed righteousness. Romans 8:1 says it this way, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." God wants you to feel the thud on the ground of the stones of condemnation dropping. We are free of the guilt and shame of past sins, personal disappointments, and ways that you don't measure up to impossible standards around you. Jesus has paid the price for your sin and shortcomings. You don't have to continue to pay for what has already been paid for! Live in freedom from condemnation, guilt, and shame!
