Genuine Faith and Works

This section is the climax to James' be doers of the Word charge. If your overall life doesn't show good works, then one's faith may not be genuine. The hallmark of saving faith is a redeemed life of good works. A person's works validate or invalidate his or her faith. 1. Genuine faith is not indifferent (vs. 18) 2. Genuine faith cannot exist alone (vs. 17) 3. Genuine faith is on display (vs. 18) 4. Genuine faith is a commitment of the heart (vs. 19-20)
