Message Title: "WHY BOTHER?" - 'Go, Share' series Part 1 Message Text: John 3:16-18 (NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. WHY BOTHER? 1. Because God loves Us 1 John 4:9-10 New International Version (NIV) 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 2. Because God wants to save us Luke 19:9-10 (NIV) 9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Ephesians 2:3-5 (NIV) 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 3. Because Jesus died for Us Romans 5:8 (NIV) 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 4. Because God wants us to have Eternal Life John 17:3 (NIV) 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
