May 7, 2023 • David Taylor • 1 Corinthians 13:1–3, 1 Corinthians 14:1, 1 John 4:7–11

Love impacts all relationships. It impacts our relationships with friends, our families (as a part or a family we are sibling, a son or daughter, we are parents). It impacts those we interact with daily, both friends and foes. Relationships are all around us. And relationships are not always easy. In this series, we are going to learn how love can transform our relationships. This series has the potential to change our lives when it comes to relationships like our marriage.

This first message explores: What is Love? Follow as Pastor David explores how Love is More.

Love is Always Responsible

June 25, 2023 • David Taylor • 1 Corinthians 13:7

Today, we are finishing up with our series, "The Way of Love." In this series, we have been walking through 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 learning the characteristics of Godly Love and how to apply this love to our relationships. Godly love can transform our relationships with our spouses, our children, friends, and our church family to areas of restoration, healing, and growth. Not to mention, we are called to love in a different way; a better way.

Love is Always Responsible

Today, we are finishing our series “The Way of Love”. If you have been with us through this series, what we have been talking about is how to practice a Godly love in our important relationships like our marriages, and families, and friendships. The Apostle Paul tells us to… Follow the way of love…(1 Cor. 14:1) And the way of love is a lifestyle of action, commitment, choice, and character. It is following the character of Jesus. Jesus said… “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (John 13:34) Jesus loved us with an all-encompassing love; a sacrificial and proactive love and according to Jesus we are to follow His example of loving in the same manner. So, the Apostle Paul reiterates this in telling us to follow this way of love and then He details out what this love looks like in 1 Cor. 13:4-8. That’s what we have been looking at for over a month now and last week we started in on 1 Cor. 13:7, where the Apostle Paul says this about love… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Cor. 13:7) In this verse, we are given what love always does and this what we said last week as an overarching truth to the always of love in 1 Cor. 13:7 that… Love Is Always Responsible

Love is Always Responsible

Today, we are going to focus in on 1 Cor. 13:7 to understand what love always does. Paul says, "It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Cor. 13:7). And from this "always" of love, here is the overarching truth that I want you to grasp… Love is Always Responsible Jesus gave us the commandment to love. He said, “A new command I give you: Love one another." (John 13:34). This is not a suggestion. It’s a commandment. It is a responsibility. In this message, Pastor David challenges us as spouses and family members. Listen as we explore how Scripture highlights that love is our responsibility. P.S.
