God Cannot LIE

We are told that the words of God are like an anchor to the soul. God’s promises give us hope that is sure and reliable. If you have lived long enough, you have been lied to and you have also lied. But there is One who has never lied. Lying goes against the very character of God. Learn in this sermon how grateful we should be that we can trust in God’s words to us and also how we can become men and woman who are like him with our ability to speak only words that are true. It seems that the world is consistently lying to us and deceiving us about something. That is why we must realize the source of all truth and how to fill our hearts with that truth.

God Cannot Be CHALLENGED

You have probably read, “God cannot be tempted,” but do you know what that really means? God cannot be persuaded, bribed, or in any way swayed from his perfect purpose and plan. Therefore, we can have confidence that the universe is in good hands. There is absolutely nothing that could ever be offered to God that would cause Him to do wrong and there is nothing in His nature that would even allow Him to sin. If we followed a god who could be tempted (like the Greek gods and goddesses), think about how disastrous that would be for our spiritual security. Learn why God’s holy character should comfort our hearts.
