God warns us many times in the Bible that the day of wrath and judgment is coming soon. There are many events pointing us to the fact that we are closer than ever to experience “the Day of the Lord” and we should awaken our hearts to the God of the universe. In the first few verses of this book, we are told to be silent as we wait for God to sweep away the wicked of this earth. What does it mean for us to be silent? How can we learn to be silent?

The Bible calls God jealous several times, and yet for some individuals, it seems odd that God would be jealous. But once we understand that God’s loves us so much that He wants our hearts to be solely His, and when we reject Him, it makes Him jealous, this should grieve us. Often, we do not consider God’s anger, wrath and zealous nature, but all of these characteristics are part of His love. Walk away from this sermon convicted to live in loyalty to Jesus Christ so that He can see how much you love Him in return.

The FEAR of God
