The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity that often lands Christians in one of two extremes. On the one hand, Christians can seek to “play it safe” and put the Spirit and his leading in a tightly sealed box. On the other hand, there are Christians who place too heavy a focus on spiritual gifts, healings and miracles at the expense of the Gospel. Despite the extremes, the testimony of Scripture is that we desperately need the Holy Spirit to empower us to lead faithful and fruitful lives for the glory of Christ.
