God gave man dominion to rule and reign over His creation! So what went wrong? When man sinned, his drive for dominion over the creation was perverted into a desire for domination over other men. And tyrants came into the earth.

Acts 17:7 What we are witnessing today is the modern American repetition of the age-old conflict: “Who is King? Who has the final jurisdiction Christ or the State?” Jurisdiction is an essentially religious fact: it tells us who is the god over a particular sphere or area; it reveals to us who declares the law for that domain.
