As the book of Acts draws to a close in chapters 27-28, we see Paul's ongoing ministry to the gentiles continue to the bitter end. What motivated this "Pharisee of Pharisees" to offer his life up for the advancement of the Gospel? In this sermon Pastor Stefan explores 3 (4) points that undergirded Paul's ministry to a broken world, and ought to undergird our own lives as Christ-followers: 1. Paul deeply loved and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ. 2. Paul deeply loved and trusted in God's Word. 3. Paul trusted that the Lord could use him for His Kingdom purposes in spite of and because of his brokenness. (4). Paul sought to be like Jesus Christ and nobody else. His identity was firmly established in Christ. These 3 (4) points have the potential to transform us into Christ-like missionaries wherever we are, if we are willing to "trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him so that He will make our paths straight." -Prov 3:5-6.
Trust in the Lord...and Lean Not
