Marah to Elim Exodus 15:23 Israel had just witnessed great miracles 10 plagues upon Egypt Israel was led by Moses out of Egypt Israel had just passed through the Red Sea The next two stops in Israel’s 40 year journey to the promise land were Mara and Elim. Mara was a place where they found bitter water and Elim was an oasis The problem no water in the desert 15:23 Now when they came to Marah they could not drink the waters of Marah for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah = bitter could have been brackish Don’t get bitter in life Disappointment: things don’t always work out they way we think they should The Solution 15:25 So he cried out to the Lord and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters the waters were made sweet Cry Out to Jesus Invite Jesus into the middle of your bitterness

Acts 11:19-26 The Church At Antioch Antioch is a church pattern or model to follow for the 21st century church. The church at Jerusalem started off okay, but turned away from having the heart of God and is not mentioned again after Acts chapter 11. There was something different about this group of people - people noticed... What was the difference in this group of Christ followers? They made Jesus Christ the Lord Of Their Lives All believers must make Jesus Christ their Savior and Lord Savior - becoming a born again Christian Lord - this is making people strong in the Lord 2 groups have formed in Christianity today The salvation group - emphasizing salvation The discipleship group - emphasize growth and discipleship

Mark 10:46-52 Blind Bartimaeus Mark 9:2 - Jesus and the disciples come down from the mountain you will not always have a spiritual mountain top experience. The Lord can take our old life in that was in ruins and give us a brand new life It is never too late to receive a miracle from Jesus Do not have the mindset that you will always be a certain way vs46-47 - Blind Bartimaeus. He was physically and spiritually blind The Lord speaks and we need to listen to His voice. We cry out to the Lord because it is scriptural We cry out to the Lord because we live in desperate times We cry out to the Lord because He limits Himself to our prayers The Sovereignty of the Lord We cry out to the Lord because we have a mandate to cry out together Leviticus 26:7-8
