Psalm 23 v1 - I shall not want refers to 2 things:
(1) The Lord decreases our want
We shall not want the things of the world
We only want and desire Jesus Christ
(2) Provision
Jehovah Jireh - The Lord provides everything for us
The Lord's Provision is a combination of mainly 2 things:
Is Based On Priority - Matthew 6:33
Our priority is a relationship with Jesus Christ
2. Is Based On Planting - Gal 6:7 & Phil 4:15-16, 19
Psalm 23:3 Rest
*If we do not rest, He will make us rest
How can we rest?
Rest is based on relationship - 1 Peter 5:7 & Matt 11:28

Psalm 23 v 1a - The Lord is My Shepherd The Lord - is a combination of 3 Hebrew words: 1. Hahyal - it means "HE WAS" - this speaks of the past We must remember what the Lord has done for us in the past - personally and Biblically 2. Hove - means "BEING" - speaks of the present -He is a God of the NOW He exists and is real 3. Yehi - it means "HE WILL BE" - speaks of the future The Lord will do great things for you in the future
