Three main points to this teaching: 1)The approach; 2) The interaction 3) The need for God POINT 1: The Approach 1. Soften their hearts towards Him 2. Model life with Him 3. Show the need for Him POINT 2: The Interaction 1. Sell all that you have Quote: “Jesus requires more than we thought, but offers more than we could possibly imagine.” - Tim Keller 2. Take up the cross, and follow Me a. Following Suggests That Jesus leads and I Follow b. Following suggests that He is taking us somewhere c. Following requires self-denial POINT 3: The Need For God Mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

David didn't follow Pastor Jim's rules for a happy marriage, but you can. Here they are: 1) Remove Compromise and Commit to Christ 2) Forgive the Things that happened in the past 3) Talk through reasonable ways to express love for each other for whatever season you're currently in. 4) Spend Time Together! It doesn't have to be elaborate, but simple time together is important for a healthy marriage. 5) Treat each other like you did when you were trying to win the other over. Remember, Pastor Jim has a great little book on marriage available on Amazon. Just search "Jim Gallagher" and it will pop up as "Always: A Handbook on Marriage" with Kristie Gallagher as co-author.

Jesus’ Way of Transformation Quote: “The perceived distance and difficulty of entering fully into the divine world and its life are due entirely to our failure to understand that “the way in” is the way of pervasive inner transformation and to our failure to take the small steps that quietly and certainly lead to it.” - Dallas Willard Point 1: New Heart -- Psalm 51:5-10 Point 2: Word of God > Tradition of Men Point 3: Undivided Heart -- Matthew 6:19-21

History of King Herod's lineage and how he came to be in the Bible reveal how wrong people can be when left to their own faculties in searching for the truth. Truth is not found in history, but in the Bible. Histories can be manipulated, but the Bible is from God and can't be manipulated.

Why is it that Jesus "could do no might work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them"? Was it due to their disbelief? Why then did the disciples He sent out succeed when no one really knew them? Listen to Jim to find out.
Mark 5:21-43

Regardless of who we are individually, we all are lost at some time and need a little (or a lot) of help. Jairus recognized that he needed Jesus' help to save his daughter. The woman with the issue of blood recognized that only Jesus could help her with her problem. Actually, they both needed Jesus' help to heal and save their souls! They were both being BOLD in going against the "norms" and asking Jesus for help.
