Hebrews 11 records the accounts of these and other remarkable men and women of God who endured unspeakable difficulty because they kept their eyes on the One who is invisible (Hebrews 11:27). Lesson 3 - Enoch
February 28, 2017 • Carol Eskaros • Hebrews 11:5–6
Hebrews 11:5-6 - Enoch "By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not Be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended As one who pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
Lesson 4 - Noah
March 7, 2017 • Karen Pulley • Hebrews 11:7
Hebrews 11:7 – Noah "By faith Noah, being divinely warned of Things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, Prepared an ark for the saving of his household, By which he condemned the world and became heir Of the righteousness which is according to faith."
Lesson 6 - Sarah
March 28, 2017 • Carol Eskaros • Hebrews 11:11
Hebrews 11:11 - Sarah Coming now to verse 11 we encounter the first woman discussed in the Gallery of Faith – Abraham’s wife Sarah. Someone once said, "Behind every great man ... is a great woman." Such was the case with this woman of faith. She is the principle matriarch in Hebrew history as well as in Hebrews 11.
Lesson 8 - Moses Part 1
April 18, 2017 • Karen Pulley • Hebrews 11:23–26
Hebrews 11:23-26 - Moses When you hear the name Moses so many thoughts come to mind-- from a young Charlton Heston holding two tablets of stone, to a man standing by a bush that seemed to be burning. The truth is when it comes to Bible characters few are as popular as Moses and none were as significant to the Hebrew people as Moses. That is why the writer of Hebrews places such a strong emphasis on this great man of faith.
Lesson 9 - Moses Part 2
April 25, 2017 • Linda Falzarano • Hebrews 11:27–29
Hebrews 11:27-29 - Moses Our gallery tour now moves us to another aspect of Moses’ life. Hebrews 11:27-29 gives us an abbreviated view of the things Moses accomplished. As we get into our study we will refer back to the Old Testament account, so have your Bible ready and open to the book of Exodus.
Lesson 10 - Joshua and Rahab
May 2, 2017 • Carol Eskaros • Hebrews 11:30–31
Hebrews 11:30-31 - Joshua and Rahab Our gallery tour now brings us to the edge of the Jordan River where we find the children of Israel about to embark on a new venture of faith ... the Promised Land. As we study this spiritual portrait we find two vibrant examples of living faith. Hebrews 11:30-31 and Joshua 6 give us the details of their faith.
Lesson 11 - Final Study
May 9, 2017 • Karen Pulley • Hebrews 11:32–40
Hebrews 11:32-40 - FINAL STUDY As we look at this closing section of Hebrews 11 we come to a collage of characters, the final heroes of faith. We do not have time to study all those mentioned here, however for the sake of further study try to take the time in the next few days to look up each one and personally examine their life.
