“The Seven C’s of History” (Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, Consummation) help us remember the big events in history to understand the world we live in. The kids will have lively interaction with Dr. Mortenson as they learn vital truths related to the gospel and confirming the truth of Genesis 1-11. He focuses most of the lecture on the first four C’s. On Creation, he discusses what God made on each day of Creation week and explains that the order of creation cannot be harmonized with the order of evolution. On Corruption, he explains that the Fall of man in sin helps us to understand why there is death and suffering in the world and that evolution is contrary to the Bible’s teaching on the Fall. On Catastrophe, he explains how Noah’s Flood (not millions of years) explains the rock layers and fossils we see on the earth. On Confusion, he explains the Tower of Babel and the origin of languages and people groups and that there is only one race (Adam’s race) and so we must love all people regardless of the color of their skin or the other physical features that are different from ours). Then he quickly goes through Christ, Cross and Consummation, encouraging the children to trust in Jesus for forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
