October 27, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 1:1–11
We are very excited about today's program as we embark on a study through the book of Acts. This is an important historical book, because it records the beginnings of the post-resurrection Christian Church. When the Holy Spirit descended upon the believers on the day of Pentecost, it set in motion the wheels of an active, evangelistic movement that swept up many a man and woman - including a certain man who came to be known as the Apostle Paul.
Waiting for God's Promise
November 3, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 1:12–26
On today's study - Lloyd will bring us part two of a message he began on our last broadcast. If you weren't with us we are continuing our study through the book of Acts and we're near the end of chapter one. The Acts of the Apostles is the full name usually given to this book, but perhaps a more accurate title would be "The Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Disciples". Turn to Acts chapter one in your Bible and join us.
Outpouring of the Holy Spirit
November 10, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 2:1–21
Today we continue our study through the book of Acts, with a stop in Acts chapter two. The day of Pentecost has arrived, and with it, the Holy Spirit. Without question this is one of the most significant events in the Bible, as the third member of the Holy Trinity descended upon the early Christian Church.

Today we'll look at chapter two, verses twenty two through forty one. Here, Luke records the amazing and Spirit-inspired words of the Apostle Peter's first sermon. Peter is exhorting his audience to repent and be saved. And those who have heard his words are being swept up in the Holy Spirit. So please join us by turning in your Bible to Acts chapter two.
Evidence of a Healthy Church
December 1, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 2:42–47
Can you imagine being asked to fly a 747 without any proper training? Many Christians try to live a Christian life without ever really knowing what it is. Is that you today? Well, help is on the way as we bring you another message from Pastor Lloyd's series in Acts. Today's message is titled "Evidence of a Healthy Church", I think you'll agree with me that a healthy Christian church is exactly what this messed up world needs right now!
A Merciful Confrontation
December 15, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 3
Have you ever experienced something and later realized you'd been set up? That's exactly what's about to happen to Peter and John. They’re on their way to the temple to pray and they come across a lame man begging for money. What happens at the Beautiful Gate served to give the people a vivid example of the presence and the power of The Holy Spirit.
Boldness From Above
December 22, 2010 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 4:1–31
I think we can all agree that we'd like to be a little bolder in our approach to sharing the gospel. It's a tough thing to do sometimes, isn't it? We see a great need among the unsaved around us, yet we don't want to be "pushy" or "offensive". The Holy Spirit can help! Our example is what He did for the believers in the early church. Here's Pastor Lloyd with more, from Acts chapter four.

Purity and Power
January 12, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 5:1–16
Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will draw out some important lessons from the story of Ananias and his wife Sapphira. In Acts chapter five, Ananias And Sapphira sell some property just to get some accolades. What they receive is the judgment of God. It makes us wonder if they were really Christians at all.
We Must Obey God and Not Man

Growing Pains of the Church
February 9, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 6:1–7
There were many challenges as the early church began - among them, some widows being neglected. This resulted in some hurt feelings and the need for the Apostles to deal with the problem in a straightforward manner, while keeping their own priorities in line. Our reference is in chapter six of the book of Acts.
Stephen's Defense - Part 1
February 16, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 6:8—7:16
Welcome to Bridging the Gap, with Pastor Lloyd Pulley. How would you react if someone falsely accused you of some terrible crime? I think you'd agree with me when I say that one of the worst things we can experience is to be falsely accused of something. In Acts chapter six, we see a scene in which Stephen is accused of a terrible crime. How does he react?
Stephen's Defense - Part 2
March 2, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 7:17–60
All of us struggle with the flesh. We inherited our humanness and sin nature from Adam. But the difference is that as Christians, we know our shortcomings. The non-believer doesn't know any better or couldn't care less. But as Christians, we want to be like Jesus. One of the greatest examples of a man who understood what it was to be a committed Christian, and to be dedicated to the sharing of the gospel message was Stephen.
Scattered
March 9, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 8:1–25
Today we'll see a good example from the book of Acts of how dangerous illusions and trickery can be. We're in the midst of our series in Acts called "The World Upside Down", and we find ourselves today in chapter eight. Here, we meet Simon the Sorcerer.
Divine Guidance in Our Salvation
March 16, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Acts 8:26–40
Today we'll return to Pastor Lloyd's series in the book of Acts called "The World Upside Down". The message today is titled "Divine Guidance in Our Salvation", based on the story of the Ethiopian Eunuch. This wonderful story is found in Acts chapter eight, verses twenty six through forty. Surrender to God is really the only way to be victorious in our daily battle with satan. I know it may sound strange - power in surrender? Yes!
