Be Faithful Unto Death

Persecution is a relative thing, I suppose. A school child who mentions Jesus and is made fun of is a victim of persecution, just as a Missionary who's martyred. But one thing is sure - if you're a Christian, at some point in your life, you'll be persecuted. The Lord said so! Today we'll look at the second letter to the seven churches in Revelation. The church in Smyrna is the subject, in chapter two, verses eight through eleven. They were being persecuted, but they were persevering as well.

Soon we'll be at the time of year when the leaves start to appear on trees, and the weather becomes warmer. Those are signs that spring is here and summer is not far away. There are also signs all around us that we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ. What are those signs? Freed from Sin

He immediately begins a process of change called sanctification. This process of sanctification begins to free us from the power of sin and its rule in our life. God wants to make us more and more like Jesus.
