Ephesians one concluded chapter 1 with Paul's prayer that God would grant to us the ability to see and comprehend the unspeakable benefits Christ has secured for us from a heavenly viewpoint, and telling us of Christ’s lofty position in the heavenlies where He is seated with all authority and power which He works on behalf of all who love Him.

Now, in chapter two, Paul will begin his great exposition of the earthly view of what Christ has done for us.
