BIG PICTURE QUESTION: How can we be saved? We are only saved by trusting in Jesus.

CHRIST CONNECTION:

Long before Jesus was born, Isaiah the prophet talked about God’s plan to send a Messiah to earth. Jesus is the Messiah God promised to send. Jesus would bring good news and help people who were hurting.

Bible Passage: Matthew 5 Main Point: JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT GOD'S KINGDOM Key Passage: 1 Chronicles 29:11 BIG PICTURE QUESTION: What did Jesus teach when He was on earth? Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. CHRIST CONNECTION: Jesus’ disciples knew He was a good man and a good teacher. When Jesus calmed the wind and the waves, He showed His friends that He is the Lord. Jesus has power over everything He made.

Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. CHRIST CONNECTION: God’s kingdom is growing in the world. His kingdom is valuable and worth giving everything for. While we wait for Jesus to come back and set up His kingdom, we obey Him and tell others about King Jesus, who rescues sinners.

Jesus gave His life to save people from sin.
