Title: Be Subject to the Governing Authorities
In our passage today the Apostle Paul is instructing Pastor Titus in what we know as the pastoral epistles, to remind the church they were to obey the governing authorities, which at that time was the oppressive Roman Empire. This direction would have been a hotly debated topic among the church believers, no doubt controversial and divisive, but still yet a very clear inspired command of the Lord to His Church. Of course, the question always arises, is civil disobedience allowed, if so, when? Join us as we study through these things.
