• “But I tell you…love them…” (the enemy)
• “Pray for them…” (the persecutor)
b. Loving Others without Discrimination Conforms Us to God’s Likeness (46-48)
• Loving our enemies is to treat others the way God has treated us (c/f Rom. 5:10)
• Loving our enemies begins in the heart…A heart being transformed by God’s grace

Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is His reiteration of the Law, of God’s standard for righteousness. We are incapable of attaining this righteousness on our own.
