Our second episode features Ezra Krieg, the chairman of the Delray beach Initiative to End Homelessness. Ezra has been a longtime activist for the homeless and children is distress, serving many organizations in his career such as Daily Bread Food Bank, the Broward Partnership for the Homeless, and Kids in Distress and Gulfstream Goodwill Industries. Ezra’s work on issues ranging from hunger to housing has spanned more than two decades. He participated in crafting the Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness and was one of the first members of the Homeless Advisor Board.

We're happy to be joined on our inaugural episode by Melanie Afanador, the Outreach Services Director for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, or more commonly known as AVDA. AVDA has been working in the South Palm Beach County community for over 35 years to prevent domestic violence thought education, advocacy and intervention.
Melanie has dedicated her career to empowering survivors of domestic violence and working collaboratively with community agencies to create safer outcomes for families. Since 2006, she has worked in shelter and outreach programs to provide survivors with support, resources, safety planning and crisis-intervention throughout south Florida.
