This 5 hour event, the first day of school vacation, is designed for children in Kindergarten through age 11. Children will learn about the first Christmas, the birth of Christ Jesus. Children will be grouped by age and grade and will rotate through 4 stations: “Angels”, “Mary & Joseph”, “The Shepherds”, and “The Magi”. Each station will be taught by teachers in costume of the Nativity character that they represent. Each character will as present stories, short videos, narrative, games, crafts and projects that promote learning about each facet of the Nativity. Amongst the activities, children will make their own Nativity set, ornaments, and keepsakes to represent each of the four parts of the story. Lessons, stories, narratives and crafts will all be differentiated to appeal to the various ages of the children. Pizza lunch, veggies and a drink will be provided. In the afternoon, we will learn songs, wrap gifts for needy children, and have a birthday celebration for Jesus. Thursday, December 22, 2022 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This is a free event, but we ask that each child bring one unwrapped toy. Lunch provided.
